Without diminishing our beliefs, we approach others with love rather than domination. We approach others with a desire to share what is important to us rather than make them feel insignificant or stupid. We approach others with a readiness to understand them rather than presuming that they should think like us. We approach others with respect, even reverence, creating an atmosphere of friendship rather than jumping into an argument we must win. We approach others, if need be, with a forgiving spirit rather than imposing feelings of guilt. We approach them with joy and hope rather than fear and suspicion.

The Aug 12 - 14, 2016 in Cacouna, Que with presenter Fr. Dan Horan, ofm, was as the best. Fr. Dan brought Laudato Si' to life, exploring its many important messages. Fr. Dan was a true blessing for all those in attendance. Now we all all called to take action! If you want to hear Fr. Dan, he has a series of lectures on Laudato Si' on Youtube. Thank you Fr. Dan! Regional Fraternity of Eastern Canada Here are some comments received:
“In my opinion, Fr. Dan Horan, OFM was a most informed presenter and certainly one of the best, in my opinion, that the Region has had over the 14 years that we have been holding these conferences. Fr. Dan is a brilliant young friar, who has a tremendous depth of knowledge in theology and ecology, and possesses a great ability to engage participants into serious reflection on the critical responsibility we have for understanding God's gift of creation, making use of the gifts that God has placed at our disposal, and the means by which we must respond to preserving the planet while sharing these gifts with others. I learned a great deal from Fr. Dan's blending of Laudato Si with our OFS Rule of life and particularly our call to "humility and poverty". “I especially appreciated (Fr. Dan’s) session on ALL creatures being recognized as brothers and sisters and that all creation has its own purpose for being created for the good of all the earth. I was totally blown away by the wisdom, knowledge and accomplishments of Fr. Dan at such a young age of 32!” “What struck me was the simple yet awesome examination of conscience based on the Beatitudes, as well as the notion of the comforting and positive aspect of communal absolution shared by the community of brothers and sisters. It seems to me that sin is never a strictly private affair. God’s mercy is to be experienced and celebrated by the WHOLE community.” Daily WOW: India sets Guinness World Record by planting 50 million trees in 24 hours - Aleteia7/17/2016
Some face scrubs & toothpastes contain microbeads
WHAT ARE MICROBEADS? Have you noticed that your facial scrub, toothpaste or body wash have these tiny colored beads in them? Those are microbeads and they are made from polyethylene and polypropylene. What you didn’t know is that a few years ago companies added them to your favorite product instead of natural exfoliants.
